Brunch and Conversation With Professor Brendan O'Leary (Penn Club Event)

EVENT POSTPONED.

Due to an emergency trip to Iraq, Professor O'Leary will not be able to travel to Pittsburgh on Sunday.  This event will be rescheduled.  

Those who have tickets will be contacted by Penn Club representatives. 

The Penn Club welcomes Penn Political Science professor and author Brendan O’Leary to the Pittsburgh Athletic Association for a brunch and lecture program.  Here are the details:
 
Who: Penn professor Brendan O’Leary (see his bio below)
Date: Sunday, brunch at 11:00 a.m., followed by a presentation at 12:30 p.m. by our guest speaker
Place: Pittsburgh Athletic Association, 4215 Fifth Avenue, near the Pitt Campus
Cost:
$27.50 for adults and teens - includes brunch, lecture, and parking
$14 for children 5-12 - includes brunch and lecture
$0 for lecture only  
We encourage participants to register by noon on Wednesday, April 22, so we can provide an accurate headcount to the PAA.                             
 
Registration will been suspended until a new event date is selected.


Dr. Brendan O'Leary is Penn’s Lauder Professor of Political Science, and director of the Penn Program in Ethnic Conflict.  He is a graduate of Oxford, and received a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics.  Brendan, an author, co-author, or co-editor of many books and articles, has served as an advisor to the successful Northern Ireland peace process, and to the Kurds in Iraq. Dr. O’Leary is featured in the most recent issue of the Penn School of Arts and Sciences newsletter: SAS Frontiers.  At the Penn Club event he will discuss ideas and concepts from his new book “How to Get Out of Iraq With Integrity.”
