“A 21st Century Traveler’s Guide to the Solar System” with John Radzilowicz

Joint Event with HBS

John Radzilowicz will present how our understanding of the solar system has changed over the last decade, a discussion of current missions, and an update on the search for life.  The talk will include some fascinating pictures of recent missions.  John's responsibilities at the Science Center include overseeing the Buhl Planetarium and Observatory.  His education includes a degree in physics and astronomy as well as a Master of Education.  John is an adjunct instructor in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh and the author of two astronomy activity books for teachers.  He can be heard discussing astronomy and space science on WMNY 1360 AM's "Birds and Nature" on the first Sunday of every month - which conveniently never conflicts with our meetings on the third Thursday of every third month!
